Walaupun pemimpinnya sudah lama memegang jawatan dan menteri.

Kita lihat Putatan, Penampang dan Sandakan; sungguh pesat berkembang.

Jadi mana silapnya?

Penduduk sendiri keluar mencari rezeki sebab tiada pelaburan besar ditarik ke daerah sendiri untuk mencipta pekerjaan untuk rakyat.

Harap tuan empunya diri sedar dan turunlah,masa anda sudah tiba dan biar orang baru pula menganti. Jawatan Wakil Rakyat itu bukannya harta pusaka untuk anda turunkan kepada keluarga.Ramai lagi yang layak dan mampu memimpin daerah ini.

Step down and leave a 'legacy' rather than ousted like Thaksin cause we had enough Datuk, you served us well but not enough so lets save this town and make an impact in the next General Election!

This post is a review of a book I just finished reading after going book-hunting with YT (Yang Tersayang) Rayhan Mohamad 3 weeks ago because most of the bookstores either has no stocks left nor they do sell the book. Due to other commitments, I only finish reading the 250 pages book after a month buying it.Rarely will I post in my blog about a book but this book is an exception because this book is worth telling for.

So here it goes...

This book is a true story, as been said by the title. Its a confession. A confession of An Economic Hitman. A confession of John Perkins.

As surprised did I know that there is a political broker in politics, but a hitman in economics? Cool.

These Economic Hit men are highly paid professionals who cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. Their tools include fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex and murder. They play a game as old as Empire but one that has taken on terrifying dimensions during his time of globalization and to John Perkins it was to serve the global empire, the greed of the powerful and influential.

John Perkins was an Economic Hitman for an international consulting firm that worked to convince poorer countries to accept enormous development loans and to make sure that such projects were contracted to the United States companies. Once these countries were saddled with huge debts, the American government would request their "pound of flesh" in favors, including access to natural resources, military cooperation and political support. Countries who have been trapped are Indonesia, Panama, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan and Venezuela to name a few. Malaysia? I hope not.

There's so much more to tell such on how America brought down leaders of the countries who opposed against them and put their own puppet to rule the country as what happened to Saudi Arabia and Indonesia. There's just so much to tell and share but due to time and energy constraints I have to stop here. This is a must read book! A rating of 5/5, a 10/10.

Thus Malaysia lets start to protect our little country and lets stop the infighting. Malaysia Boleh!

Liow Tiong Lai; Only a puppet.

Who is Liow Tiong Lai?

He is a Malaysian politician who is currently serving as the Health Minister in the Malaysian cabinet. He is the Vice President of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a major component party of the Barisan Nasional ruling coalition.

He has been fighting for fresh polls since the 10/10 MCA EGM and when he has got what he desires; he's contesting for the DEPUTY PRESIDENT?WTF?

You have been going all around Malaysia pushing and influencing delegates for a fresh election because (to you) it is the only way to save the MCA from its current (leadership) crisis and now you got what you want you ONLY contest for the DEPUTY PRESIDENT?you upset me Datuk Seri.

Why not contest for the top post?You're the one who said the MCA needs new leaders to save MCA.Why cant you be that leader SAVING MCA?WHY NOT BE THAT SAVIOUR THAT YOU THINK MCA NEEDS?

Oh I forgot why not because you're only a puppet for someone who is greater than you.Someone more powerful.Someone who wants to comeback and SAVE MCA but I dont want to talk about him.I just want to write about you Datuk Seri because to me you've just risk you're whole 29 years of political career.

Generally as a political observer of Malaysian politics, the grounds are blaming you for making the situation in the MCA worse than it is and from my point of view; I agree because you're the one who ran back and forth influencing the delegates and CC members that the MCA needs fresh elections.You're the one who did all the dirty work for "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named."

I just want to wish you good-luck because today you're the Health Minister in the Malaysian cabinet and the Vice President of the MCA but after 28th March I doubt you will thus prove me wrong.

Yet nevertheless I would like to thank you for making a great drama, Politics has never been this good.

Hold interfaith dialogue; Honestly please.

Religions and race: Face what is perhaps the greatest challenge they have ever encountered in these times and moments and that is to preserve their religious and cultural uniqueness without letting it operate as a cause of narrow and divisive sectarianism that contradicts the vision of unity and peace.

Dialogue among the different faiths is a way of conversing and thinking together openly: just like a parachute, the mind works best when it is open and like a flower its will look beautiful when it opens; religions is beautiful. It will dissolve barriers that divide and so revolutionise and change one’s way of thinking by widening the horizons about other faiths and taking responsibility for one’s actions.

The move towards interfaith dialogue encourages building trust, meeting common challenges and addressing conflictive and divisive issues, among other focuses. It can be viewed as a way not only to become informed about the faiths of others but also to rediscover essential dimensions of one’s own religious traditions.

The benefits of removing historical prejudices and enmities as well as the new possibilities for working together for common good ought to be recognised and affirmed.

Interfaith dialogue is an encounter between people who live by different faith traditions, in an atmosphere of mutual trust and acceptance.

Dialogue does not require giving up, hiding or seeking to validate one’s own religious conviction.

In dialogue one sees a new and creative relationship within which one can learn about and respect others and also to give authentic witness to one’s own faith. It should be viewed as a common pilgrimage towards the truth, within which each tradition shares with the others the way it has come to perceive and respond to that truth.

In dialogue the walls of religious bigotry, that has been inconsistent with freedom and modern living, can be dismantled.

Now is the time through interfaith dialogue to see whether the healing light of religious vision will overcome the social and ideological issues that underline much of the conflict between religions today.

Hold interfaith dialogue honestly please.

Malaysia; we have a problem.

Generally we can see the overwhelming support of the public towards the announcement that the cabinet decision to put away with the requirement to indicate one’s race in government official forms.

Many opine that it will remove a barrier that inhibits us from achieving Bangsa Malaysia. The requirement is said to remind us of our individual race instead of being Malaysian. It is also seen as a positive effort in line with the 1Malaysia concept.

However, I am intrigued as to why these like-minded Malaysians are silent when another initiative with similar objectives was put forward. Such as the proposal to introduce the single education system as practiced the world over. Malaysian children will grow up to be fine citizens with a sound understanding of the different races and the need to stay as one. On the contrary, a child who goes to a vernacular school will be deprived of this opportunity.

Thus, I fail to understand why on one hand we object to practices that separate us as a people but at the same time we condone those having similar features. We should all ask the question whether we are being honest with ourselves?Think twice,Act wise!

If we aspire to realize a 'Bangsa Malaysia' and believe in 1Malaysia, we should support the introduction of the single school system and put serious efforts to make it a success.

And Malaysia,we do have a problem here; with honesty.

To my opinions today, the action taken by the MACC has made the front page of the newspapers. Is that an achievement or the other way around; just to smooth the public eyes by catching the oh-small-tiny baby fish. Well done but are THEY or may I say WE serious about going after the big fish who have fished the government?

-Are we serious about fighting corruption, abuse and misuse of power and funds and moral decay? Or do we continue making statement after statement expecting people to change?
-Do we go after those with soiled hands without fear or favour? Do we seriously want to see that taxpayers’ money is used in a transparent manner and that those responsible are accountable for their actions?

It is getting more and more frustrating reading and learning about wrongdoers who are still walking talking eating in our streets, and hoping to continue to exploit the weaknesses in our system.

My opinions are not based on gossip or rumors but are based on hard facts-

Oh dont believe me? OK.

Lets take a walk down memory lane to remind you of it. Forget the Port Klang Free Zone for a moment
(though it will never be forgotten). Here are SOME NOT ALL issues that are the most "worthy" to recall:

-Former Tourism Minister Datuk Azalina Othman’s excess staffs as far as staffing was concerned. She had 20 staff which contravenes the Public Services Department (PSD)’s regulations limiting the appointments to only eight.(Can't you count Datuk?). The minister’s office had three special officers, five political officers, one research officer, six information technology officers and five support staff. Some appointments were backdated to circumvent circulars from the PSD and the Treasury and there was no proper selection process as the posts were not advertised and to note you are only the Tourism Minister not the Finance or Education Minister that are way more important and requires more staff.

-The globe-trotting-traveling VIP wives in Selangor still continue to flaunt their designer clothes and branded handbags despite their shenanigans being laid bare at a public inquiry. Is it not abuse of power?

-The National Sports Council which at one time or another had RM350 million in the bank is now unable to pay athletes. Does anyone bother to find out where the money went and on the extravagance of certain officials who defend themselves by saying: "Saya yang menurut perintah"?

-What about the abuses that have been highlighted in the auditor-general’s report every year? Has anyone been "hanged" for wrongdoings? May be, one or two ikan bilis, but what about the ikan yu and those who gave the go-ahead? They are being promoted to higher positions and together come the perks – state or national awards.

I am no soothsayer or doomsayer. I am just another rakyat who is committed to seeing transparency and accountability at work. But having said that, all I can say is that nothing will ever change unless our leaders have the determination and political will to bring about a radical set of norms and morals to be emulated by all the citizens.

Anwar Ibrahim; The Educated Devil of Tinsletown?

THE recent appointment of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the economic adviser to the Selangor government seems to have stirred a hornet’s nest among Barisan Nasional politicians, in particular Umno. Why are they getting agitated, to the extent that they sound nervous, jealous and envious, all at the same time.

If Anwar knows nothing about finance and economics, they should be pleased as a politician but afraid as a citizen of Malaysia because economy bridge is going down, down , down down down (Hit it Jay Sean).

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says that Anwar will ruin Selangor and only bring RM1 worth of advice to the most developed economy state in the country.

But as much as I hate to admit and to tell you this

Was it not him who selected and appointed Anwar as the finance minister from among his ministers, bearing in mind that Malaysia has one of the largest ministerial cabinets in the world? I recall that Mahathir was all praise for Anwar as the then finance minister and only started to criticise him when they had a falling out.

Mahathir knew Anwar only had a Degree in Malay studies but yet he still picked the latter as the finance minister.

Thus to me let Anwar perform and if he fails then by all means go for him. He has not even taken office and we have all these "experts" baying for his blood. As the saying goes , "Give the devil a chance". Till then hold your peace.

Never in my mind to think that you are not human despite the walls you've put up-we have the same shape heart to feel, two legs to walk and the same two eyes to see.

Never in my heart took you for granted cause when I am serious you took me lightly, when I am not there you said I left.
What exactly do you want me to do?What exactly does your heart desires?

A little faith and a promise is only what I asked for; not a Supra shoes, not even a Polo Hackett.
Both I can buy with money but not your trust and promise.

All I did was wrong and all the words I said was doubted; is that having faith in me?Is that the promise you promised me?

We are both human; I have the heart to feel it with you- the same two legs to walk my talk and and the same two eyes to make you see how seriously I am.

All I need is that little faith and that one promised to be kept.

Walaupun saya nampak handsome pakai ini tapi apa guna handsome kalau bukan sama kau.

Yes I'm nothing....just yet. Its sad to think that you're a 'someone' in a person's life when in truth you're not. When all you do is not much appreciated; sometimes not appreciated at all, when all you do means nothing. It's like a chair, people sits down over and over again and that's it,you're just a chair. They appreciate you little by fixing you if you're broken and appreciate you not by buying a sofa.

So would you please wake me up when its time to go? Please wake me up when the bell rings cause I'm nothing; nothing at all. I realized it, I really do but in the meantime, let me have our slow little memory so when its my time to go I would have something to bring me with cause I'm nothing........................................just yet.

‘Siege mentality’ label unfair to Malays; Its not the right time yet.

I FEEL sad and ashamed after reading a front page report "Get out of siege mentality" (Oct 15) in one of the local newspaper. Even though I agree with most of what the Umno Youth chief said, I take offence when he conveniently told the Malays to discard the "siege mentality". Khairy Jamaluddin was not being prudent and totally unfair to the Malay race. It is a slur on the ability of industrious Malays who have all this while stood up to stiff competition and continue to forge ahead in all fields.

Although many concerned Malays agree that their special rights are under threat, they would rather look at this issue from a different perspective. Right-thinking Malays regard the adversaries may not necessarily be the other communities, but may be within the community. Otherwise, how would you explain the situation the Malays are in now, especially in their economic standing, even though the New Economic Policy has been implemented for four decades. Surely, some unscrupulous parties are responsible for the failures. Therefore, it is incumbent on the authorities to explain to the people the true nature of the Malay special rights and their significance to the country. On this account, I think the prime minister did a brilliant job in his presidential speech at the 60th Umno general assembly recently. Datuk Seri Najib Razak had categorically said, "Today we see how these products of affirmative action proudly proclaim that they no longer need government’s crutches. These people seem to have forgotten reality. They may be able to throw away the crutches that propped them up all this while, but what about the other Malays who still need help? Would it be fair to deny help to those who are eligible to receive it just because those who have already received help do not depend on it anymore? The Malays are still behind and need help". And the premier conclusively stressed that the issue was not about aid but rather its management and administration. I am impressed by his pronouncement on this topic and hope all Malaysians now have a clear understanding of this contentious issue.

Nevertheless, it is worth noting at this juncture, that the public generally recognize some of those calling for the removal of these affirmative actions are the ones who misused the provision of the NEP and derailed its implementation, to the detriment of all Malays and other deserving citizens. Rightfully, these individuals should be penalised for their misdeeds.

At the same time, those who continue to harp on the status of the NEP fail to recognize the negative impact the current income disparity between the various races will have on the nation’s future well-being. It is also possible that these parties are just playing to the gallery or want to score political points.

Suffice to say, Malaysians will be better off if they can appreciate the colossal task of nation-building in a multi-racial, multi-religious and multi-cultural country like ours. With greater understanding of the current issues, they will be able to make themselves useful by contributing positively towards achieving the all-encompassing aspirations of 1Malaysia.

For me God has unique ways of shaping man's destiny - ways that our puny minds sometimes find it difficult to understand.

Fate rewards some and punishes others sometimes unfairly to our eyes. Their efforts are decried and their failures are redeemed in ways we ordinary humans cannot fathom.

Obama gets the Nobel Prize and Isa Samad wins Bagan Pinang with a thumping victory ; increased one also - where victories are apperared man-made and contrived. After all, you can lobby for titles and awards these days and you can persuade people to support you especially when you are beloved.The games that humans play, especially politicians, are intricate and intriguing. Always, they are inspired by the belief that they are doing it for the people they are destined to lead. So they connive and contrive to make things work.

But I believe God has a much bigger plan, giving Obama and Isa their hearts desire is the best way to extract from them in their best efforts. Putting them in the glare of the public and national interest is destiny's way of getting them fully committed to their cause ; for Obama it is world peace and Isa it is political integrity.

For those of us who dream of the good old days when integrity was pure and honor uncontaminated, there is hope of a paradise regained. For the realistic and pragmatic among us who are prepared to compromise along the way, let's hope we are guided by the basic values inherent in our culture and religion.

I believe that honesty and integrity have a deep religious grounding and it is this that must be propelled to the forefront of national development. 'The Rakyat' need to be continuously reminded of and reeducated in basic morality.

My First Attempt, Your First Impression.

I've heard a chinese proverb once that say's "You never get a second chance to make a first impression" and to me thats true yet I also believe that we should not 'Judge the book by its cover" which is in contrast to the first proverb.

So let me :

Impress you and yes-dont you ever try to judge me on my first attempt.

The name is Hairul Hisham Rahman, other personal information I will not provide due to certain reasons after consulting with my legal team(dont blame me but blog nowadays is a dangerous piece of business and we need all the legal help we can get,just look what happened to RPK)

Information that I can provide to you is that I am a hardcore-die hard fan of Politics,generally and UMNO,specifically. I am a student of economics and a wannabe politician that has a very high sight on the chair of power, still a far away journey ahead yet Im optomistic. Aim for the moon and even if I miss I will still be amongst the stars,I set my sights high-very high.

To (some) humankind power and money is everything, they will do anything to get there as long as they get there.Politics is one of the way-maybe the only way to get there,thats why money and womens and sometimes mens (isn't it anwar?) are flowing in and out of the record books, to get support and and when you have support you have POWER.

With power a human can do anything,anywhere,anytime the heart desires, it has the power to turn a nobleman to the a dictator,a father to a prisoner and priest to a devil.Power can only be good only when the one holding it has good judgement and values,realizes the responsibility and knows to a certain extent the border of using the power.Power is a powerful thing and by the moment you read this make sure you realize that you,yourself has powers.The power to change yourself to be a better person,power to change this country to a brighter future,power to change this world to a better house.
